The reality show program RUN BTS will air again after a 10-month hiatus. The BTS members announced the new season of RUN BTS through the BANGTANTV YouTube channel in early August. The new season of RUN BTS will open with a special episode airing on August 16, 2022. You can see the teaser video below!

The Korea Herald says Run BTS is a South Korean web-based series starring seven BTS members. The first episode of the series was published in August 2015. Since then, Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE) has released 156 episodes where the members perform various challenges and games with prizes. The losing member must undergo the punishment chosen by the other members, such as going up the mountain early in the morning or wearing strange clothes when arriving at the airport.
The last episode of RUN BTS season 3 aired on October 12, 2021. In that episode, the members announced that the program was taking a break because they needed time to recharge. The announcement certainly made ARMY sad. But they understand that BTS really needs a break.
While RUN BTS episode 1 aired on August 1, 2015, the members played various games or participated in multiple activities. They have played roles, learned to cook, made kimchi, made ceramics, and even arranged flowers.
What is clear is that every episode always invites laughter because of the hilarious behavior of the BTS personnel. They also compete for prizes, which are often very small. Even so, they play with all their hearts and don't hesitate to betray each other.
The penalties for members who lose also vary, for example, being told to wear tacky clothes or funny hats in public places such as airports. Another iconic punishment was that the losing member had to hike up the mountain on a cold morning.
Uniquely, the other members did not hesitate to cook lunches for members who were undergoing punishment.
RUN BTS 2022
Throughout the teaser video at RUN BTS 2022, the song titled RUN can be heard clearly playing in the background. The members felt that the song with the same title as their series was suitable as the opening theme for the new chapter of their series.
Each episode of Run BTS usually involves a series of themed games or missions where the members compete against each other in small teams or solo. Occasional special episodes are also released to mark Korean holidays and other events.
It is known that although they are currently busy with each personnel's solo careers, they are also preparing for the 2022 BTS RUN event.
